Dancing alone up above,
In the twinkling star-lit sky.
She is purer than a dove,
The gracious one, apple of my eye.
A diamond pendant of night,
She remains ever in solitude.
For with the early morning light,
Her radiance falls in magnitude.
And as she hides behind a cloud,
Hiding her beauty, never being proud.
A poet cannot be but gay,
By seeing her reflection from the bay.
The beautiful princess has gone to hide,
Her reflection now fades away.
All are in awe of her beauty,
But her mirror always leads the way.
Puppies play, dogs bark,
She is gorgeous after dark.
Time moves like ripples in the pond.
But she remains, of whom I am fond.
Kittens cry, cats mew,
Your splendor recedes with the morning light.
sun’s radiance is shown through you,
your thoughts will remain even after I lose my fight.
